| *Being a Standardized Patient |
|
| A Standardized Patient (SP) is typically a member of the community who enjoys
working with people and is interested in contributing to the medical education of our students.
The SP is trained to simulate an actual patient by accurately and consistently presenting (symptoms or problems of)
an illness or physical finding. SPs work for the Clinical Skills Lab and can be of any age.
SPs typically are compensated for their participation.
